Having trouble linking your account? Below are the most common errors, what they mean, and how to fix them.
Errors: Auth Required and Expired Credentials
These messages mean your account has been disconnected and needs to be reconnected to Gridwise.
- Tap Update Connection.
- Follow the prompts to log back into your account.
Error: Invalid Credentials
This usually means your login information was mistyped or incorrect.
- Confirm you’re using the correct account credentials. Some services have separate driver and passenger logins — make sure you’re using the driver account.
- Enter your credentials manually (avoid using auto-fill) and check for extra spaces or special characters.
- If the issue continues, reset your password in your work account and reconnect.
Error: MFA Timeout
This means your verification code wasn’t entered before the app timed out.
- Confirm that two-step verification is set up with your phone number.
- Verify your phone number is correct in your service app.
- If everything looks good, try using a backup code provided by your work account to connect.
Error: Invalid Account Type
This error appears when login credentials are for a non-work account (for example, linking an Uber rider account instead of the driver account).
- Make sure you’re using your driver app login credentials.
- Try both login methods — email/password and phone number/password.
- If needed, reset your driver app password and reconnect.
Error: Account Disabled
Your account may be inactive or your company may not allow multiple logins.
- Open your work account and confirm you can log in and accept orders.
- If you can take orders, log out, reset your password, and reconnect to Gridwise.

Additional Notes
You may receive a security alert from your gig app about a login attempt from an unknown device.
This is normal if it lines up with the time you connected your account to Gridwise.
