Ability to close app fully and stop tracking, to limit battery usage and memory

I would like a secondary option to close out of the app which let's me fully close it, so that nothing continues to run in the background. This will keep my phone battery running longer, use less RAM and other resources. I don't use auto tracking features so this is quite a nuisance for me. I know I can force quite the app when I'm not using it, but I'm not sure if that causes, or could potentially cause, secondary issues. For example, maybe it can't sync with my DoorDash account, or other problems I may not consider.
