Customize app quick access

I don't need to open Google Maps and would rather have the screen real estate when using the app quick access overlay. I would like to request a way to add or remove which apps show in it, possibly even size and shape.

  I second this request. Having a way to edit/reorder the quick access icons would be very helpful.
